Since becoming parents, "home" has taken on a whole new meaning. We strive every day to make our house a "home" for our children; a place for spiritual, physical and emotional growth, a place of love, a place of tolerance and humility, a place of optimism and forgiveness... needless to say, it's a sacred place.
Garrett, Jess, Manilla and Dorothy, also known as The Bucket list family have a unique situation... they sold their house and all of their personal belongings and have been traveling nonstop for the last two years. Despite living in a new place every week, they have done a beautiful job at creating a homelike essence everywhere they go. When we started Walker, we reached out to them, to let them know that we admire what they are doing and acknowledge that it can't be easy. It says a lot about who they are, when they invited us to spend some time with them on the Oregon Coast (a place that we have always held near to our heart). We recognize the sacredness of them allowing us into their "home" and wanted to document it organically. It can be a bit nerve wracking meeting people for the first time and going right into shooting a video with them, but they made me feel so welcome and I immediately fell in love with their kids and it was like we had been friends for years. Thank you Garrett and Jess for being so great and letting me feel like part of your family for the day. We can't wait for the next time!! Here are some photos and short films from our time spent together in Cannon Beach, Oregon.
